White's Consistency Enables His 2022 Optima Batteries SMTWD Championship Run
Charlestown, IN (November 10, 2022) – Over the next few days we will take time to reflect on the 2022 points champions of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League in preparation for a night of celebration at the Champions Banquet, held at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, November 19th.
Among a group of highly competitive classes on the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Tour, claiming an Optima Batteries Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Truck Championship title is an exceptional feat; with fields of 20 or more vehicles each capable of winning in any given session, consistency is the key to the title run. Lafayette, Tennessee's Michael White and his Chevy-bodied Addiction was a textbook example of that needed consistency in notching his first points title in 2022.
With an intense schedule of 16 sessions of pulling for the class on the Champions Tour, White was able to score seven top-five finishes and two wins, the final win coming at the Pro Pulling Nationals in Wheatland, Missouri that sealed the deal. Close behind White were a pair of competitors who tied for second place, Russ Nichols and the On the Edge Ford from Lore City, Ohio and Jeremy Nelson and the Midnight Gambler Dodge from Sidney, Illinois.
