Mumma, Wagler, and Love Highlight Honorees at Champions Banquet

CHARLESTOWN, Indiana (November 26th, 2019)- This past weekend at the Marriott-Downtown in Louisville, Kentucky the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League held it's annual Champions Banquet. A record crowd of 385 people attended this year to honor the men and women who excelled in the PPL in 2019.

In addition to the Champions Tour honorees shown, several awards were given.

Winners of the Melba King Scholarship Award were Nathan Vegh, Daniel Sullivan, Garret Etzkorn, and Nicolas Bradley.

The 2019 Puller of the Year Award was given to Justin Wagler, driver of the "Real Deere" John Deere competing in Limited Pro Stock in the Silver Series and Ag Protect 1 Midwest Region.

Receiving the 2019 Pull of the Year Award was the Pro Pulling Nationals held at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri.

The presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award was an emotional moment for all when the late John Mumma was named the winner. Mumma was recognized for his legacy as a competitor and leader in the sport of truck and tractor pulling.

The 2019 banquet also offered a new award, the Ambassador Award presented by Sassy Racing Engines. Richard Love, owner and operator of the Decision Maker series of sleds, is the inaugural winner of the award.
