Champions Tour

Charlestown, Indiana (June 20, 2018) – This weekend we cast focus on the farthest-west outpost of Champions Tour action to the Eighth Annual Mound City Rural FIremen Rumble by the Refuge in Mound City, Missouri. Held at the Old Rodeo Grounds facility conveniently off Interstate 29 at exit 84, the event draws in massive crowds from a four-state area—and for good reason!

The Rumble by the Refuge serves up some of the best pulling in the country with Champions Tour, Ag Protect 1 Silver Series, Champion Seed Western Series and Nebraska Bush Pullers competitors all set to battle out across two sessions on twin tracks. The facility is in a constant state of improvement with new additions added yearly to make the event as fan and puller-friendly as possible. Included in the program for 2018 are the Mini Rods and FASS Diesel Pro Stock Tractors from the Champions Tour; 95 Limited Pro Stock Tractors vying for Ag Protect 1 Silver Series points; 85 Limited Pro Stock Tractors, Lightweight Super Stock Tractors, Limited Pro Stock Diesel Trucks and Limited Pro Street Diesel Trucks from the Champion Seed Western Series; and Light Modified Tractors representing the Nebraska Bush Pullers. In addition, distinguished local youth will be honored before the event with scholarship monies from the proceeds of the pull.

Pulling action begins each evening at 6:30pm CDT for both sessions on June 22nd and 23rd. Gates open at 5pm; admission is $15 for Adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see the best pulling competition in the west!
