Brownstown, Indiana (June 18, 2013) - The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League's Champions Tour and TS Performance Silver Series made a stop at the St. Edward Parish in Mackville, Wisconsin for the Mackville Nationals. Speedco Pro Mod FWD Trucks from the Champions Tour joined 3.0 Diesel Trucks and 4.1 LPS Tractors from the TS Performance Silver Series for two sessions of pulling action. PPL member-state Badger State Tractor Pullers also fielded Super Farms and Pro Stock classes.
In Friday's action the "Family Affair" Chevy of Randy Nelson took the win in Pro Mod FWD over 21 other competitors. The 3.0 Diesel Truck class Friday evening had an exciting outcome as Andrew Sauer and the "Justified" Dodge outlasted the "Old Skool" Todd Cox by a slim margin, 323.93 to 323.81. The Limited Pro Stock 4.1 class featured a winner on the first pass on an all-new tractor. Tony McDonald's "Well Spent" CIH won in dominant fashion, besting the second place tractor of Dustin Hart ("Beyond Limits" CIH) by seven feet.
Saturday's event was started under the threat of inclement weather and the track crew and pullers did a very good job of getting as much action in as possible. The TS Performance Silver Series classes were rained out, but the Pro Mod FWD trucks were able to complete their class, with the "Untamed Spirit" Chevy of Terry Hagedorn winning the Saturday evening session of the event as the rain drops began to fall.
Look for a complete run-down of the event in the August issue of Pro Pulling Magazine.
