Anytime a motor sports event rule books starts our with, "If you
have four supercharged motors, the largest supercharger you can run on
each is an 8-71," you know you are in for a wild ride.
"We'll
see plenty of multi-engine supercharged vehicles here next weekend,"
said Kevin Greven, General Track Manager. "There will also likely be
duel engine Allison and Rolls Royce types not to mention 8,600 horse
power limited turbines, and that is just one class!"
What in
the world is going on at the Lucas Oil Speedway you ask? Simply the
Lucas Oil Pro-Pulling League returning to the Diamond of Dirt Tracks.
Five classes of pullers including the before mentioned 7,700 pound
Super Modified Tractors will thunder into the speedway for the Dixie
Chopper Pro-Pulling Nationals Presented by Fat Heads Eyewear.
Also
on hand this season 8,000-pound Unlimited Super Stock Tractors with up
to 4 turbos. Plus 10,000-pound Pro Stock Tractors, Unlimited cubic
inched Pro-Modified 4x4 Trucks and for the first time ever, Hot Rod
Semis.
Last season this same ESPN2, Lucas Oil Pro-Pulling
League event set the precedence for televised truck and tractor pulls
with two pulling lanes and two sleds side by side. This season, fans
are in for more of the same.
"It is one thing that sets this
pull apart from others around the country," added Geven. "It is also
the reason ESPN2 is back with plans for 6 televised pulling events from
this two day show."
Don't miss the Dixie Chopper Pro-Pulling Nationals, Saturday and Sunday June 28th and 29th.
