LUCAS OIL PRO PULLING LEAGUE ENTERS 2008 WITH INCREASED EVENTS, SPONSORS AND MEMBERSHIP MOMENTUM April 1, 2008

The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League continues to gain momentum and strength toward its third season in 2008 with an expanded National, Regional and Member state schedule, sponsor additions, and an internationally viewed cable sports television package.

The Brownstown, Indiana-based sanctioning organization will conduct in excess of 240 truck and tractor pulling events across the U.S. in 18 states, plus Canada from a stellar participant roster now in excess of 1,300 active members featuring the top drivers and machines in the sport.

“The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League continues to establish a broad footprint in the marketplace, which is proving an exceptional value and opportunity for all involved,” said PPL Director, John Mears.

“Pullers are being rewarded with the largest per-event and year-end award monies, and product contingency programs,” he continued.

“Of equal importance, the venues where our events are held include some of the country’s largest state fairs and stand alone events, which greatly benefit the exposure of sponsor products and services to a brand loyal base of consumers across the board, reinforced by the comprehensive television package.”

In addition to its elite Lucas Oil Champions Tour point series, the League’s expansive series of events now include the revered Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association plus partnership with the Illinois Tractor Pullers. Others flying the colors of parent company Lucas Oil Products are the Badger State Pullers Association, New York Tractor Pullers Association, Empire State Pullers, Shenandoah Valley Tractor Pullers, East Coast Pullers, and the Southern Pullers Association.

Of the many new events on the calendar, one that will certainly stand out is the addition of “America’s Pull” in Henry, Illinois, now a two-day affair held the weekend of July 11-12 at the revered Marshall-Putnam Fairgrounds.

Likewise new for 2008 is the Midwest Region Series, with presenting sponsor Super Clean, which will host its own series of points events at top venues in demographically rich sub-rural and micropolitan locations.

Television coverage of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League is expected to top 190-million U.S. households on a combination of the most popular and well-respected cable networks. Videotaped and packaged by New Wave Productions, 60-plus television programs will be shown on ESPN2, Speed Channel and Versus, among others. Bolstering the ratings is the fact that at least 19 of these airings will be positioned in prime time slots.

Sponsorship of the League continues to grow, and now boasts of nine companies under the potent business consortium known as “Team Lucas”. Recently joining the powerful enterprise is Point Vedra, Florida-based E3 Spark Plugs, plus renowned whiskey distiller and distributor, Jim Beam. In addition to flagship Lucas Oil Products, others include K&N Engineering, General Tire, R&L Carriers, Dixie Chopper, SuperClean, Torco Racing Fuels and Fatheadz Eyewear.

The first event of the season for the nationally televised Lucas Oil Champions Tour takes place the weekend of May 2-3, 2008 with the General Tire Carolina SuperPull, to be held at Concord Motorsports Park, in Concord, NC (Charlotte market). Three exciting categories of competition will be featured on the pro circuit in Two-Wheel Drive and Four-Wheel Drive Truck, plus Super Farm Tractor divisions.
